Wednesday announce job losses
Hillsborough
The club has had financial problems
Twelve members of the non-playing staff at Sheffield Wednesday are to be made redundant.

Officials at Hillsborough have said they hope the job losses will be made on a voluntary basis.

They have stressed they are needed to help to secure the long term future of the club.

And more workers could lose their jobs if the club is relegated at the end of this season.

Chief Executive Alan Sykes said a further review of operations will be necessary if the club drops into Division Two.

The job cuts at Sheffield Wednesday are the latest example of football's financial problems.

Clubs in the Nationwide League have been hit particularly badly by the collapse of a televsion sponsorship deal.
