Big push to bring back tourists
Peak district farming
The Peak District is a working environment
Derbyshire is to be promoted at two national tourism fairs to help bring back visitors to the county.

The county council and the Peak District National Park are to take part in The Ordnance Survey Outdoors Show.

And the county council will also attend the British Travel Fair.

The idea is to promote Derbyshire to travel companies to boost tourism after the foot and mouth crisis two years ago.

The county council feels it is important to promote the whole county.

Councillor Geoff Carlile, the council's cabinet member for regeneration, said: "We don't just want people to come to the Peaks, we want people to come to the whole of Derbyshire.

"From the north to the south of the county we have many attractions outside the Peak District and tourism is important to them."
