Liverpool men 'unhealthiest'
Men in Liverpool are the unhealthiest in England, according to a survey.

Results of the study, which Men's Health magazine said is based on government statistics, show the healthiest men are in Leicester.

The survey suggests men in Liverpool have the worst fertility and have the highest death rates from cancer and heart disease.

Researchers claim that in Liverpool there are 35 deaths per 10,000 men to the diseases.

This is compared to Leicester where cancer kills 24 per 10,000 men and 6 in 10,000 men die from heart disease.

The survey also claims that Manchester has the most fitness centres and swimming pools, although the rates of men dying of stroke or suicide is high.

The magazine said the figures used came from the Department of Health and the Office for National Statistics.
