Cyclists and walkers are expected to flock to West Yorkshire after metal sheep sculptures were planted along a disused railway track. The 11 scrap-metal sheep are part of a �100,000 project to put public art on display.
Local artists have been commissioned to spruce up the eight-mile long Spen Valley Greenway between Dewsbury and Bradford.
Sculptor Sally Matthews told BBC Look North: "Most of the reaction has been quite positive especially now they are going in the ground.
"The sculpture really takes shape when it becomes part of a flock so people can really see what I'm getting at."
David Hall, director of Sustainable Transport - a company which encourages people to leave their cars behind - said: "It is as if someone has gobbled up the railway track and come out with some sheep instead.
"This will be a very memorable landmark for people who come through."
