Investigation continues into derailment
Train derails
The carriage remained upright after the derailment
Train crash experts will continue their investigation on Wednesday into how a train derailed on Tuesday morning.

None of the 35 passengers on board the Euston to Milton Keynes commuter train were hurt.

The first of the train's four carriages came off the track just south of Hemel Hempstead Station.

Network Rail, which looks after the track and signalling, are carrying out a full investigation.

The accident comes less than a year after seven people died in a rail crash at Potters Bar last May.

Two sets of wheels came off the track
Rail pressure groups say that if the Silverlink commuter train had not been travelling at a slow speed, there could have been another major rail disaster.

Rail passengers faced long delays after the derailment.

An emergency timetable operated for trains between London Euston, Milton Keynes and Northampton.

No other trains were involved in the incident.
