Man banned from all car parks
Car criminal
The order will help police in the fight against car crime
Police have welcomed a court decision to ban a thief from every car park, repair garage and car showroom in the country.

Mark Leo, from Wolverhampton, was handed the five-year anti social behaviour order by city magistrates.

He is now liable to serve up to five years in prison if he breaches the strict rules, which also ban him from carrying crime-related tools, including screwdrivers and penknives.

Leo, of Bradmore Road, did not contest the order, which is believed to be the first handed out in the country.

Inspector Andy Rogers, of Bilston Street police, said: "It helps us to look at the offending behaviour of Mark Leo.

"It gives us genuine powers to manage his behaviour and his lifestyle pattern, and to help him not to fall back into his criminal activity.

"But most importantly it protects the people of Wolverhampton from the anti social behaviour."
