| Wednesday, 12 February, 2003, 06:36 GMT Burglar's five-year home ban ![]() A Gloucestershire man has been banned from his neighbourhood after admitting a string of offences including burglary. Stuart Walford, 23, of Little Herberts Road in Charlton Kings, near Cheltenham, has been served with an anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) by Cheltenham Magistrates' court. It means he is not allowed back into the Charlton Kings area for five years - and can only visit his mother there by arrangement. Walford pleaded guilty to two charges of burglary, one of stealing a Land Rover, one of assault causing actual bodily harm, and another of affray. He asked for other offences to be taken into consideration and will be sentenced at a later date. The terms of the Asbo - a civil action served at the end of criminal proceedings - also say Walford cannot attack or threaten anyone, or tamper with cars, in the whole of Gloucestershire. It is a criminal offence to breach these terms, which can lead to five years in prison or a fine. The Asbo application was brought by Cheltenham Borough Council in partnership with the local police and is the fifth in the area. | See also: 20 Mar 02 | UK 01 Mar 02 | Panorama Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top England stories now: Links to more England stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
