Campaign to save post office
Post Office counter
Manager say the office is no longer viable
A campaign has been launched to try and halt the closure of a post office in Beverley.

According to Post Office managers, the office in Lincoln Way is no longer viable.

But members of the Wordmansey Parish Council, which covers the area, say it will mean that parents with young children and elderly residents will have to make a journey into the town centre for Post Office services.

Local people are being urged to sign a petition calling for the office to be kept open.

And campaigners are hoping to get the backing of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
