Speed camera set on fire
Speed camera
Flammable liquid was poured into the camera
Vandals have destroyed a speed camera in Lancashire by smashing it up and setting it on fire.

Police say the camera on the A6 in Forton was attacked in the past week.

Vandals smashed the lens before pouring flammable liquid inside the camera and setting it alight.

It is the fourth speed camera to be vandalised in north Lancashire in the past two months and is expected to cost 24,000 to replace.

In December two cameras in Morecambe and one in Lancaster were chopped down with a chainsaw.

Lancashire Police say they are not linking those incidents with the latest attack.
