| Thursday, 30 January, 2003, 10:41 GMT Extra engineers to restore gas ![]() Extra Transco workers were brought in More than 100 engineers have been drafted in to help restore gas to more than 1,000 customers in Northamptonshire - who have been without supplies since Monday. Villagers in Woodford Halse, Byfield and Chipping Warden have spent their third night without gas. Supplies were disrupted when a contractor hit a main in Banbury on Monday evening. Residents left without supplies have been using heaters given to them by Transco, the gas engineers.
