Man's body found in house fire
Green Goddess crew
Soliders were called to the house fire in Sheffield
A man's body has been found in a house fire attended by army crews in Sheffield.

One Red Goddess, a Green Goddess and two breathing apparatus rescue teams were sent to the semi-detached house on Boynton Road, Shirecliffe, at 1350 GMT on Wednesday.

Neighbours had reported black smoke coming from downstairs windows.

Soldiers found the man, believed to be in his 30s, collapsed against the front door.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said officers were treating the fire as suspicious.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out.
