Sisters make drive-by killing appeal
Gerald Smith's sisters
Mr Smith's sisters appealed for information
Two sisters of a man killed in a drive-by shooting have appealed for information to help catch his killer.

Gerald Smith, 42, was shot as he left the Afro-Caribbean Club, on Spital Hill, Sheffield, at 2330 GMT on 18 December.

He was taken to the Northern General Hospital where he died from his injuries.

His sisters, Janice Clarkwoods and Donna Alllman, who live in New York, gave a press conference in Sheffield on Wednesday.

Eight arrests

Mrs Clarkwoods said: "There are people out there who know something and were there at the time of Gerald's death.

"If they could just come forward to tell someone what they know.

"The killer is out there, and we want justice for our brother."

Mr Smith, who left a wife and four young children, lived in Sheffield, but was originally from Jamaica.

Eight people have been arrested during the course of the inquiry and two of them are on police bail.
