A protester from Norfolk has led her group in a sit-down protest inside Parliament over the government's stance on Iraq.

Angie Zelter and others from a worldwide organisation called Women In Black joined a coalition of anti-war groups who tried to force their way into the Commons chamber on Tuesday night.

When they were stopped by police they sat down in the Central Lobby and demanded to speak to their local MPs.

Ms Zelter said: "We decided that we would try to go into the House of Commons and explain to them that 81% of the population don't want to go to war.

"It's totally undemocratic for Blair to take us into a war we don't agree with."

The protest ended once MPs arrived.
