| Tuesday, 21 January, 2003, 08:46 GMT Libraries hook up to the web ![]() All 30 libraries are hooked up to the net Libraries in Wiltshire are providing free, high-speed internet access to their members. Over 140 computers have been installed in the county's 30 libraries - complete with broadband connection - as part of a �1m investment programme. The project was funded through a National Lottery grant, part of a �200m scheme to connect libraries nationally to the net. The equipment is available to everyone who is a Wiltshire library member. Pauline Palmer, assistant director for libraries and heritage, said: "We are moving into the 21st century in a big way with these computers.
