| Wednesday, 1 January, 2003, 11:47 GMT Train hits shopping trolleys ![]() The train was travelling from Cardiff to Portsmouth Police are appealing for information after vandals forced a passenger train out of service in Wiltshire. The train hit two shopping trolleys thrown onto the line near Trowbridge on New Year's Eve. It is believed the trolleys were thrown off the footbridge running between Cherry Gardens and Dursley Road at Lower Studley some time between 2115 and 2245 GMT.
