Mr Seaton died at the Royal Liverpool Hospital after being found with gunshot wounds at Martensen Street. They said two masked men were involved but have not established a motive for the killing. In a separate incident, a 27-year-old man was shot dead in his home in Cooper Lane, St Helens, just after midnight on Sunday. Two men from Leeds, aged 22 and 25, have been arrested and are being questioned on suspicion of his murder, officers said.
