Youth found injured in alleyway
Police tape
The youth was found in an alleyway in the city
A teenager is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after being found with serious head injuries in Preston.

The 17-year-old from nearby Penwortham was found in an alleyway in the city in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Lancashire Police said the youth's mother came forward to report him missing.

He was seen at about 0115 GMT on Sunday in an alleyway which links the covered market with the Ringway.

Detectives investigating how he suffered his injuries are appealing for help from the public.
