Psychiatrist guilty of rape
Christopher Allison
The jury is still deliberating on several other charges
Consultant psychiatrist Christopher Allison has been found guilty of two rapes and nine indecent assaults on six women patients.

Allison, 60, was charged with sexual offences covering a period of almost 20 years at clinics in Ashford and Canterbury in Kent, Oxford, and more recently in Basingstoke, Hants.

The jury at Winchester Crown Court earlier cleared him of one rape and two indecent assaults.

They still have to decide on four further charges - two rapes, one indecent assault and one attempted rape.

Allison, formerly of Skippets Lane West, Basingstoke, now lives in Risby, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

Judge Patrick Hooton remanded Allison in custody immediately and told the jury to continue deliberating on the outstanding charges on Tuesday morning.
