Man dies after HGV crash
Air ambulance
The man was airlifted to hospital for treatment
A man has died two weeks after the car he was driving was involved in a crash with a truck in Wiltshire.

The man, who has not been named by police, was airlifted to hospital after the accident at 0850 GMT on Friday 15 November.

But after two weeks in intensive care, the 25-year-old, from Calne, died in Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, on Sunday.

The man was driving a Ford Escort when it was in collision with an HGV low-loader on the A4 at the junction with the A342 at Derry Hill near Chippenham.

The driver of the HGV, a 34-year-old man from Lancashire, was unhurt.

PC Dave Thompson, of Corsham traffic police, said: "It is with regret that I have to announce that the young driver of the Ford Escort died at 0130 GMT on Sunday."

PC Thompson appealed for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
