France moves for UK terror suspect
London police
Kadre is in custody in London
A French judge has issued an international arrest warrant for a man of North African origin held on terrorism charges in London, according to reports.

The warrant against Rabah Kadre was issued in connection with an investigation into the so-called Frankfurt group, which had planned to carry out an attack in the eastern French city of Strasbourg in December 2000, a French news agency quoted a judicial official as saying.

Mr Kadre, 35, was one of three men arrested on 9 November in London and charged with offences under the Terrorism Act.

There has been no confirmation that the men were arrested in connection with a conspiracy to launch a poison gas attack on the Tube.

Mr Kadre is remanded in custody until 16 December when he is due to appear to face the charges relating to the possession of articles for the preparation, instigation and commission of terrorism acts.

His solicitor, Gareth Pierce, has already complained to the Attorney General about prejudicial coverage of the case in the media.
