Teenage girls given behaviour orders
Maria Helen Rowland and Samantha Wardle
The girls had been abusive towards residents
Two teenage girls who plagued residents with abusive behaviour for months have been banned from areas of Warwickshire.

Maria Rowland, aged 15, and 14-year-old Samantha Wardle, both from Nuneaton, were given two year anti-social behaviour orders.

Nuneaton magistrates, who named the two girls on Tuesday, heard they had been abusive, threatening and intimidating towards residents in the Nuneaton and Bedford areas.

It is the first time that orders have been made against females in the area.

Unruly youngsters

The court heard that Rowland had posed as a bogus charity collector and had asked residents for money.

Sergeant Alan Rymell, from Nuneaton police, said they took complaints about unruly youngsters seriously.

He said: "The type of behaviour the two girls showed is unacceptable and they are now named so the entire borough can be protected from further anti-social behaviour.

"We sincerely hope the girls learn their lesson and adjust their behaviour accordingly."

Sgt Rymell said he had been working on the case for the past 10 months.
