| Thursday, 14 November, 2002, 21:56 GMT Man shot dead after pub row ![]() The motive for the shooting is unclear Detectives in Birmingham are questioning two men after another man was shot dead in front of his friends following a row in a public house. Jason Spence from Kingstanding was gunned down on Cardington Avenue in Great Barr shortly after 2300 GMT on Wednesday. The 31-year-old died in Sandwell General Hospital, West Bromwich shortly after midnight on Thursday. A post-mortem examination revealed he died from internal injuries as a result of a gunshot would to the back. Police say the man had earlier been drinking with friends in The Bell, a public house in Booth's Farm Road. Pub row A spokesman said: "At some stage there was an altercation between the victim and at least one other man. "The group then left the pub and a short while later, at around 2315 GMT, the victim and his friends were walking along Cardington Avenue. "A silver estate car pulled up, shots were fired from it and it then drove off." The vehicle is thought to have contained two white men.
