| Wednesday, 13 November, 2002, 17:03 GMT Ice Age museum wins award ![]() Creswell Crags date from the time of the mammoth A Derbyshire heritage site has won an award for its web pages. Creswell Crags enjoys an international reputation amongst archaeologists as an Ice Age site. The Crags are a series of limestone gorges and caves in the Worksop area, occupied between 50,000 and 60,000 years ago. The Crags website has won a prize at the British Archaeological Awards for its online tour of the site and artefacts. Unique site The web tour is designed to make the site and detailed background information accessible worldwide. Ian Wall, from the Creswell Heritage Trust, said: "In archaeological terms it's as important as Stonehenge, it's that important for our understanding of the Old Stone Age. "It is one of the few places you can experience and discover and interpret the Ice age." The website details what is available at the Crags, including a museum, visitor centre and guided walks.
