Rail travellers face new strike
Arriva train
Passengers are being advised to check train times
Train conductors working for Arriva Trains Northern are again taking strike action on Saturday.

The RMT union has told them not to work on 2 November as part of a long-running pay dispute.

Arriva says although 120 conductors have indicated they will not be working, 80% of services will be running.

Ray Price, managing director of Arriva Trains Northern said: "Due to the excellent support of those employees not engaged in the strike, we will provide a robust service this Saturday."

However, passengers wishing to travel on Saturday or early on Sunday are being advised to check train times before they leave for the station.

The RMT has called further strikes for 21, 23, 24 and 31 December and 1 February 2003.
