A motorist who was banned for speeding has been fined for daubing graffiti on speed cameras.

Simon Scott, 23, of Chaucer Road, Crowthorne had earlier been banned from driving after he was caught speeding three times in one day.

On Wednesday Slough Magistrates' Court heard how he was unable to pass a speed camera without "tagging" it.

Scott received a conditional discharge for one year and was ordered to pay �700 in compensation and costs.

In court Scott admitted going on a month-long graffiti blitz against the speed cameras around his home.

He told the court he scrawled the word "royal" and drew crowns on the roadside cameras.

Scott's defence said his behaviour was not connected to his driving ban for speeding.
