Police issue photos of festival rioters
Burning portakabin at the Carling music festival in Leeds
The rioting lasted for two hours
Police have released pictures of 24 people wanted for questioning about violence at a music festival in Leeds this year.

Trouble flared at the end of the Carling Festival leaving 46 people injured including two officers.

A crowd of about 200 rioters set fire to campsite toilets and it took more than two hours for police and site security to quell the disturbance.

West Yorkshire Police hope the public can help them identify the suspects from the photographs.

The festival was held at Temple Newsam, Leeds, over the August Bank holiday.

Police said the violence began when a number of people began pulling lighting down.

Small fires were then lit near the toilet blocks which were pulled over, before bricks and missiles were hurled at police.

Detective Chief Inspector Trevor Kerry, who is leading the investigation, said: "Up to 50,000 people, including many families, visited this event each day and had a good time.

"The event was marred by a small minority who were involved in violence which put public safety at risk.

"This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and we would ask members of the public to help identify these people."
