The stepson of a barrister who etched his name into almost every train on London Underground's Northern Line has failed to turn up in court to be sentenced.

Barnet Youth Court issued an arrest warrant for Zen Slocombe, 18, of Finchley, north London.

At an earlier hearing he was convicted of six offences of causing criminal damage to Tube train windows, carriages, platform walls and signs.

Magistrates were told that Slocombe used paint spray on walls, but preferred grinding tools to etch his name on train windows and carriages.

'Saga continues'

His "tag" of Enzo still remains on many Northern Line trains because it is too expensive to remove.

PC Brian Taylor of British Transport Police (BTP) said he believed the damage caused by Slocombe was as high as �300,000.

He was eventually caught on CCTV defacing a train at South Wimbledon.

PC Taylor said 800 man hours had been spent on the case so far.

"It is frustrating and we expected this to be the end, but the saga goes on."

Slocombe will be taken into custody on his arrest before facing the court again.
