| Monday, 25 November, 2002, 19:05 GMT Care home set to close An award winning care home which houses 22 sick and elderly residents is set to close over a planning row. The owner of Magnolia House in Leamington wants to join two buildings together to make his business more economically viable. But the town's planning chiefs have refused permission, saying the Victorian building must be preserved. Relatives are worried their loved ones will not receive the same level of care elsewhere if the home does close. New campaign tackles domestic violence A new campaign to help families tackle domestic violence has been launched. The national scheme, called Broken Inside Out, was launched in Worcestershire on Monday. Organisers will focus on the impact of domestic violence on the victim's health, both physically and emotionally. Actress Susan Hampshire was at Malvern Theatre for the launch of the programme and to talk about her family's experiences of domestic violence. Apology over parking tickets A Stafford man received two parking tickets despite being at his dying wife's bedside at the time of the alleged offence. Jim Hales was able to prove to police that he did not commit the offence in Devon on 16 July. Mr Hales was at North Staffordshire Hospital with his wife who had leukaemia and has since died.
