| Saturday, 24 August, 2002, 17:47 GMT 18:47 UK Skydivers leap into the record books ![]() About 240 skydivers took part in the event More than 240 skydivers were attempting to break a world record for tandem parachute jumps on Saturday. They assembled at Hinton-in-the-Hedges Skydiving Centre, Northamptonshire, to make their attempt. The jumps, which involved novice divers attached to experienced parachutists leaping 10,000 feet from a plane, were made to raise money for charity.
