| | Tuesday, 18 June, 2002, 10:05 GMT 11:05 UK In pictures: Euro royals' Jubilee gathering Royals from across Europe joined in a glittering day of ceremony in Windsor to mark 50 years of the monarch's reign. The VIP guests took part in Monday's procession to the castle for the annual Order of the Garter service followed later by a celebration lunch and dinner.  The royals wore medieval costume as they walked from St George's Chapel to Windsor Castle  King Harald, of Norway (R), was honoured in the Order of the Garter service, a tradition begun by King Edward II  The Jubilee event was the largest gathering of Europe's royal families since the Queen Mother's funeral  Black Rod Sir Michael Willcocks swapped his black Parliamentary uniform for a purple cloak  Queen Sofia of Spain was among the many dignitaries at the event  Thousands gathered outside Windsor Castle to catch a glimpse of the royals  An impressive line-up of Knights and Ladies of the Garter posed for an official photo in the Waterloo Room  Fifteen European royals later attended a dinner at Windsor Castle | |
