Police release more Millwall pictures
Police have released pictures of 10 people suspected of involvement in rioting which followed a Division One play-off match between Millwall and Birmingham City.

Officers who witnessed the mayhem picked out the faces from CCTV images of the crowd.

The pictures have been numbered for ease of identification.

There are still many people we need to identify and speak to

Detective Chief Inspector Peter Newman

Almost 100 police officers and dozens of horses were injured in the trouble after the club's bitter defeat by City on 2 May.

Six suspects whose pictures were released last week have now been identified with the help of members of the public.

Detective Chief Inspector Peter Newman, leading Operation Zampa set up to track down the culprits, said: "We have made 15 arrests and more are planned.

"There are still many people we need to identify and speak to about the events of May 2 around The Den."

The Met said after the disturbances that it was considering suing the club for the damage caused.

Millwall officials have apologised for the actions of the club's supporters.

Mobs threw bricks, paving stones, a chisel, flares and fireworks at police, and two cars were set alight.

The club is considering restrictions on visiting fans next season and on its fans travelling to away fixtures.

On Friday police announced that those convicted of violence at Millwall could face 10 years in prison.

Culprits may be charged with the serious offence of riot, rather than the more commonly used violent disorder, Scotland Yard said.

To convict a suspect of riot, prosecutors must show that 12 or more people together threatened unlawful violence.

On Friday two men appearing at Greenwich magistrates' court had the charges against them changed from violent disorder to riot.
