Man dies in London shooting
Police in the capital seize 50 guns a month
A man died after being shot during a fight in a busy north London nightclub, police have revealed.

The man, said to be about 20 years old, was on a night out with friends at the Litten Tree Pub in Lymington Avenue, Wood Green, when he was shot.

Police were called to the scene shortly after midnight on Saturday where they discovered the injured black man bleeding on the dancefloor and took him to hospital.

He was pronounced dead at 0720BST on Saturday morning.

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said there were about 300 people at the venue at the time of the incident.

"There was an altercation with a group of young men. There is no clear motive for the incident," he said.

A postmortem will be carried out on Sunday and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information.
