The two escaped convicts from Rye Hill
Both men were serving 10-year sentences
A convict who escaped from Rye Hill prison in Northamptonshire on Monday has been found by police attempting to board a ferry in Fishguard in Wales.

Adrian Mason, 27, had been on the run after escaping in a delivery truck.

He was arrested at 0240 GMT on Thursday and was taken into custody along with an unnamed woman.

A second prisoner, 22-year-old Jason Sufi, who escaped with Mason is still missing.

Armed Robbery

Officers from Dyfed-Powys police arrested Mason at Fishguard Port along with a 31-year old female who was detained on suspicion of assisting a prison absconder.

The two were attempting to board the night ferry to Ireland when police moved in.

Both were taken to Havorfordwest police station to await the arrival of officers from Northamptonshire police.

Mason was serving a 10-year sentence for conspiracy to commit armed robbery at the privately-run prison near Rugby.

He escaped along with Jason Sufi who was also serving a 10-year term after being convicted of attacking a policewoman with a knife and a jeweller with a machete.

Sufi is still on the run and is described as dark-skinned, with black hair and brown eyes and of slight build.

This was the first escape from Rye Hill which opened in early 2001 and is run by Group 4.

Officers from the Warwickshire and West Midlands forces have joined their Northamptonshire colleagues in the hunt for the two men.
