Mr Park reckons he has eaten about 5,450 turkeys, 18,250 roast potatoes, 43,800 brussel sprouts, 1,825 swedes, 3,650 parsnips, 1,825 pots of cranberry sauce, 7,300 gravy cubes, 7,360 mince pies and 2,350 Christmas puddings.

This has been washed down with 8,000 glasses of sherry and 1,560 bottles of champagne.

He said: "Now my GP has told me my over-indulgence is killing me and I've got to cut out all the dinners or I will be singing with the angels myself next Christmas.

"I don't know what to do - on the one hand I love all the Christmas nosh but I also want to be around next year."

"Exercising to keep the fat away is a problem because I'm always too full and too tired to go for a run," he said.

Mr Park's Christmas addiction stretches beyond just the food. He has also got through 30 artificial Christmas trees, 10,000m of tinsel and 10,000 balloons.

He calculates that this has cost him �100,000 since he started in 1991.

But even if he does kick his Christmas habit, he does still have one December dream he hopes to fulfil.

Mr Park, who runs an electrical business, has produced five records about his exploits and hopes one day to make it to Number One in the charts so he can appear on the Christmas Top of the Pops.
