Liverpool fans stabbed in Rome
Four Liverpool fans were stabbed in Rome
Italian police fired tear gas before the game
Four Liverpool fans have reportedly been stabbed after travelling to Rome for the teams' Champions League game against AS Roma.

It is thought all of the fans were stabbed in the leg and none are thought to be seriously injured.

Three of those hurt were injured before the match, which ended in a goalless draw, according to Italian news agency Ansa.

They were treated by paramedics.

Italian police used tear gas after fighting started outside AS Roma's Olympic stadium ahead of the game.

The fourth fan was stabbed in a city centre clash after the Group B tie ended and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

No fighting was reported after the match.

Earlier this year, a number of Liverpool fans were injured in Rome prior to a UEFA cup match.
