It will be building a call service centre in Margate, costing 15m. The new building, which will be complete by the end of 2002, will provide office accommodation for about 600 staff. "If we continue to do this, there is plenty of potential for further growth." The firm already employs more than 2000 people in Kent and about 3500 people worldwide. Saga began in 1951 by selling holidays to senior citizens, but 15 years ago they decided to provide a broad range of services to people aged 50 and over.
