Pensioner hit by police car
Scotland Yard
The police car was responding to an emergency call
An 80-year-old woman is in hospital after she was in collision with a police car answering an emergency call.

The police car had its sirens and lights on when it collided with a Ford Orion and bollards before hitting the elderly woman in Feltham, west London, a Scotland Yard spokesman said.

The woman is in a stable condition in hospital with arm injuries and bruising, following the incident on Thursday afternoon, he added.

The driver of the Ford Orion was also taken to hospital with chest injuries.

The three male police officers, who were in the car, from Hounslow borough were bruised and shocked but did not go to hospital, he said.

The police driver has been relieved of driving duties as a matter of routine.

The incident is being examined by the collision investigation unit at Hampton Traffic garage.
