An exhibition of how King's Cross underground station will look in five years' time has gone on display.

Commuters will be able to see how the Channel tunnel rail link will transform the station.

It will also explain the reasons for all the roadworks, hoardings and heavy machinery in the area.

King's Cross St Pancras Underground Station is one of the oldest and busiest on the Tube network and the exhibition will explain benefits the new station will bring.

Reduce congestion

London Underground is promising that the redevelopment of Kings Cross tube station will make it safer for passengers.

One of the main aims of the building work is to reduce congestion in ticket halls and passageways.

There will be new booking halls, lifts and subways which will serve passengers using the Channel Tunnel Rail Link station at St Pancras as well as Tube travellers.

The exhibition is based on the corner of Pancras Road and Euston Road and is on view until Friday.

Members of the project team will be on hand to answer visitors' questions.
