Snow could affect school exams

Many thousands of school students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland face having to wait another five months to take exam modules if they cannot take them next week because of the snow.

GCSE and A-level exam papers are due to start on Monday but many schools are likely to be shut if the freeze continues and exams could be delayed until the summer.
