Primary school science Sats ends

Science Sats taken by 11-year-olds in England are to be scrapped and replaced by teacher assessments and national sampling, ministers have agreed.

But the National Association of Head Teachers says it will carry on with a planned boycott unless ministers get rid of tests in maths and English as well.
