School meal guidelines tightened

Rules about which foods can be served in schools are being tightened across the UK from this term, as parents fear the price of school meals may rise sharply.

In England, meals will also have to include 14 separate nutrients, whilst healthy menus are compulsory in Scottish primary schools and are being piloted in Wales.
