Low participation neighbourhoods

This table shows the percentage of young full-time first degree entrants each institution recruited from neighbourhoods with a low university participation rate in 2006-07.

The second figure is the "benchmark" rate set by the funding council - using a methodology contested by some.

The final column shows whether the actual percentage was above (+) or below (-) the benchmark by an amount statisticians regard as significant.
