Chelsea finds love at Oxford
Chelsea Clinton
Ms Clinton says she is focusing on her studies
Chelsea Clinton, who complained of feeling homesick in her first term at Oxford University, has spoken of the happiness she has found in a relationship with fellow American, Ian Klaus.

According to reports in the American press, the daughter of former president Bill Clinton has been seen in local bars and restaurants with Mr Klaus.

Oxford is wonderful. I'm having a great time

Like Ms Clinton's father, Mr Klaus, 22, is a Rhodes scholar and is studying history at Jesus College.

He is also reported to play for the university's football team.

Ms Clinton told the New York Post: "Oxford is wonderful. I'm having a great time."

"We do go out, but I still try to spend most of my time studying in the library."

Settling down

Ms Clinton's comments are in contrast to those she made in November, where she complained of anti-American feeling in Oxford following the 11 September attacks.

Then she said it was hard to be abroad and said she wanted to be in the company of Americans.

It is believed she met Mr Klaus while seeking the solidarity of fellow American students.

Ms Clinton is studying for a two-year master's degree in international relations at University College.
