Up to 36,000 people have participated in this year's London Marathon. This picture was taken by Sergio Carvalho, who was very excited because the marathon was happening right in front of his house in Westferry Road.

Helen Chatfield Rigby lives nearby Shooters Hill and has always gone out to support the stragglers and latecomers. She photographed what looked to her like the last runner, followed by the cleaning crew.
