David Beckham has undergone successful surgery in Finland on his Achilles tendon injury but his surgeon has ruled out any hope of recovering for this summer's World Cup.
Dr Sakari Orava, said that the recovery could take up to four months and he could only see Beckham attending the World Cup as a "mascot of the team".
The 34-year-old midfielder was aiming to play in a fourth World Cup but was injured in AC Milan's win over Chievo.
