Icy roads and freezing fog warnings for Christmas Eve

Millions of extra motorists are expected to take to the roads after delaying their Christmas journeys because of the big freeze.

Driving conditions are thought to be worst in northern England and Scotland. Trains journeys and flights may also be disrupted.

Motoring organisations are appealing to people to put off non-essential travel until conditions improve. Andy Moore reports.
