The BBC has defended its decision to allow the BNP to appear on Question Time, saying the party is able to stand at elections and the audience will decide about its policies.
The Welsh Secretary, Peter Hain, has made a formal complaint to the corporation and says it could face legal action.
Mr Hain insists the BNP should not be "glorified" by appearing on the flagship panel programme.
