Royal Mail's 'optimism' over strike talks

Royal Mail bosses have admitted being disappointed over a vote by postal workers for industrial action.

The dispute between unions and management centres on how best to modernise the company.

Royal Mail's operations director Paul Tolhurst said despite the ballot result, he had ''some optimism,'' as talks remained ongoing.
