British Airways has reported a pre-tax loss of £148m in the three months to the end of June.
It's the first time the airline has lost money in the first quarter of the financial year since it was privatised in 1987.
The economic downturn is dramatically affecting many full-service airlines - Air France, KLM and Lufthansa also reported falling revenues this week.
Tom Symonds reports.
