Triple gold medal winning cyclist Sir Chris Hoy has been knighted at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
One of the stars of the Beijing Olympics, Sir Chris, was joined at Buckingham Palace by his mother Carol who received an MBE for services to healthcare.
